The fundamental objectives of this role are to strengthen and grow restorative and person-centered care by:
Leading the portfolio to deliver on its objectives by ensuring high-quality, efficient, and effective day-to-day health service delivery, with a strong focus on continuous improvement, just learning practices, and fostering a restorative culture.Setting the strategic direction and ensuring effective operational management of the Heart Lung Services in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of SVHA, while promoting a positive and restorative environment.Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans, policy development, program initiation, and performance monitoring to advance Heart Lung Services, emphasizing continuous learning and improvement.Ensuring the Heart Lung Services operate within a robust set of financial and operational performance targets that balance current capabilities, acceptable performance standards, industry best practices, and the principles of restorative care.Driving strategic partnerships with Tertiary and Quaternary providers to shape and advance the future vision of Heart Lung Services, ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.The role fosters a positive and restorative culture, focusing on continuous improvement, just learning practices, and initiatives that enhance patient and community experiences.

Selection Criteria: Personal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and St Vincent's Health AustraliaCurrent Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or relevant registration body as appropriate (relevant for Clinical Staff only)Relevant tertiary management and/or health administration qualification or equivalent.Demonstrated 3 + years' experience in a senior nursing or similar role managing a range of complex nursing portfolios in a hospital or healthcare setting.Proven ability to integrate mission, embed clinical excellence, and achieve challenging financial and patient care targets, while demonstrating strategic leadership in meeting organizational goals, advancing professional practice standards, and developing nursing staff.Proven aptitude in complex problem solving, decision making, managing projects and strategic planning.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of government regulations/policies, nursing reform agendas, research, transformational practice development, leading change and implementing innovative models of care.Ability to lead, foster, and actively influence a restorative just learning culture, and build effective inter-professional relationships to ensure safe, highly reliable person-centered care systems.Demonstrated proficiency in budgetary and fiscal management within a constrained environment and knowledge of healthcare funding models, industrial and policy environments.Proven ability to function as part of a senior leadership team, with highly developed interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.Understanding of the role and function of public hospitals and community health services within the Australian and NSW health systems, with ability to comprehend the navigation of a patient's journey across hospital, community and primary care services.Applications close on 28/11/2024 Contact Details:Linda Patat, 0437 593 269 ******
