The Nurse Educator is a Registered Nurse who is accountable at an advanced practice level for the design, implementation, and assessment of nursing education programs, managing educational resources, and providing nursing expertise relating to educational issues.
You will be responsible for the provision of nursing leadership and associated delegated activities and for the provision of nursing care that meets the Nursing and Midwifery Board Australia competency standards and other professional practice standards relevant to the position.

About us:The Education and Research Unit provides Nursing and Midwifery education, professional practice development services, and Clinical Practice Improvement initiatives for Nursing and Midwifery staff, to facilitate the achievement of best practice health service delivery requirements.
The Gladstone Education and Research Unit is an integral part of CQHHS and is situated at the Gladstone Hospital.
About the role:The Nurse Educator is responsible for the provision of nursing leadership and associated delegated activities.
Practices within the scope of a Nurse Educator while demonstrating knowledge and skills relevant to the clinical specialty.Ensures nursing and advanced health care knowledge, skills, and ability by supporting an evidence-based learning environment and participating in learning activities/opportunities for self and others.About you:Mandatory qualification: The successful applicant must possess a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent.
Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a relevant postgraduate qualification in which clinical education was a component would be well regarded.
Where the successful applicant does not currently hold this qualification, commitment to completion within an agreed timeframe is expected and will form part of the performance review process.What we offer:Salary information: Total remuneration value of up to $51,856 p.a.
