Your Opportunity
Working within the residential aged care facility, this role will elevate the standards of care for our residents through excellent training and education.
This role will work along with the Director of Care in identifying areas of improvement and develop and deliver training programs accordingly.
Your Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging training programs for nursing and care staffAssess and update training materials to align with current policies and clinical guidelinesMentor and support staff in best practices in aged care, focusing on person-centered careConduct ongoing competency assessments and provide constructive feedbackFacilitate workshops to improve staff skills on an as-required basisCollaborate with leadership to identify areas of staff improvement and quality improvement initiativesRequirements for Success Registered Nurse with a minimum of 3 years of aged care experienceCurrent and valid registration with the NSW Nurses Registration BoardCert IV in workplace training and assessment and experience in the delivery of educational programs desirableDemonstrated knowledge of contemporary aged care and mental health service deliveryExcellent communication skills both written and verbalPostgraduate qualifications in Gerontology and/or Mental Health desirableBefore starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks.
