Nurse level 4 (Remuneration Package Range $140,738 - $151,076)Mental Health/Alcohol and Other Drugs – Central Australia Inpatient Unit Alice SpringsOne vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 18 months. Supports and provides collaborative, appropriate, proficient, coordinated direct and indirect clinical care for complex client presentations, including working with and alongside less experienced nursing and midwifery staff, within the specialty area.
This role is the interface between mental and physical health. In a multidisciplinary team, utilising prior extensive experience in mental health community and inpatient settings, the clinician will undertake assessments and provide support, advice and recommendations appropriate to mental health care and follow up to other staff, clients and family members. The role requires a strong cultural safety framework, a commitment to evidence based practice and experience working as an autonomous practitioner.
Key duties and responsibilities: Apply specialist knowledge, skills, attributes and abilities within a defined practice area in therapeutic and professional relationships with individuals, as well as with families, groups and communities. Is recognised by the team for their expertise, is a resource for others, and engages in agreed independent practice under the supervision and management of the team. Accountable for providing sound professional advice and for assessment, planning, review, evaluation and coordination of comprehensive client care and/or case management within the speciality area. Demonstrate NTH values - safe; responsive; kind – in all decision-making and interactions with consumers and colleagues. Follow defined service quality standards, work health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
