Join our dedicated team at Port Lincoln Hospital Services as the Mental Health Consultation Liaison.
In this pivotal role, you'll provide exceptional clinical care, mentoring, and educational support while collaborating with stakeholders across Rural and Remote Mental Health Services.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver Expert Care: Provide direct clinical mental health care, implementing therapeutic interventions and managing individual cases.Support Integrated Care: Offer expert assessments and advice to local clinical teams, ensuring seamless care within a risk management framework.Autonomous Decision-Making: Exercise independent decision-making in your area of expertise, ensuring high-quality outcomes for consumers.Collaborate: Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to implement holistic care plans.Facilitate Discharge Planning: Play a key role in complex discharge planning and hospital avoidance, ensuring smooth transitions to community-based care.What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).Experience: At least 3 years post-registration experience in mental health nursing, with expertise in supervision and leadership.Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to foster staff development and drive change.Cultural Awareness: Ability to engage with Aboriginal communities in a culturally appropriate manner.About Us The Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is responsible for the planning and delivery of hospital and health services over 337,626 square kilometres, taking in the Eyre Peninsula, western part of South Australia and north to Coober Pedy.
