Nurse Level 4 RDO (Remuneration Package $140,738 - $151,076)Prison Health - Primary Health CareFixed vacancies for 6 monthsAlice Springs As the sole health professional onsite, this role will work collaboratively with the Remote Outreach Consultation Centre and Medical Retrieval and Consultation Centre to meet the health needs of persons detained in the police watch house, providing police professionals with advice on the management of persons in custody. Extensive clinical experience working in professional isolation (e.g. remote area nursing including emergency nursing, custodial care nursing) to effectively triage, manage and monitor acute and chronic health needs of persons detained in the police watch house ensuring all persons are 'Fit for Custody' is required.
Applicants will be required to have experience driving a manual vehicle and be eligible to obtain a NT drivers Licence and meet the Police, Fire & Emergency Services security clearance requirements.
You will be a registered nurse holding a current certificate of registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Additionally, you will have a demonstrated understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal health and the principles of Primary Health Care.
