This position covers care for acute and non-acute patients who have experienced a sexual assault including:
Forensic examination and collection of evidence;Provision of sexual health examination;Provision of prophylaxis and treatment as needed;Interpreting and follow up of results;Provision of legal reports of fact (not expert opinion);Liaison with Police and legal representatives when necessary.The applicant will work collaboratively with the clinical director and N4 nurse position at SARC to provide comprehensive medical care to patients and with our counselling team to provide trauma informed care.
