Nuclear Project Manager

Following our continued success in securing new and interesting projects with the Nuclear Sector and Nuclear Defence, we have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager with a background in public sector and nuclear projects.

Reporting directly to our Director for PCM Nuclear, you will be responsible for managing projects of national importance working closely with our client, stakeholders and colleagues from other Tetra Tech disciplines.

The role

We are seeking a passionate, high performing Senior who can demonstrate a flexible skillset:

A leader with the ability to empower and inspire others to deliver successful outcomesA collaborative team manager who will work with the whole project team to develop objectives and agree ways of workingExperienced in managing NEC 3/4 contracts ensuring compliance with the terms of the contractCapable of managing design teams and the design process against agreed delivery timescalesMonitors progress against the schedule, managing resources against the baseline and identifies variances that require actionMonitors financial performance throughout the project / programme and prepares reports for stakeholdersPreparation of the Risk Management plan and process to identify threats and opportunities, assessing the impacts to develop suitable response plansManages the consistent application of quality assurance processes and standardsAble to establish and maintain governance structures that define clear roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for governanceDevelops and disseminates a stakeholder management and communications plan to meet the objectives of the project / programme.Establish and manage review points, which will inform governance and provide evaluations of progress.Manage the change control process in line with the contract conditions.The ability to prepare, refine and update business cases.The ability to define, evaluate, track and realise the business benefits of project / programme. About you Proven experience of managing projects and programmes for local / central government bodies or other significant public sector clients.Willingness to travelChartered project Professional (APM), equivalent or working towardsPMQ AccreditedNEC 3/4 accredited preferablySuitable for security clearance, SC or DV Cleared preferablyStrong communication skills including the ability to work with senior client representativesA collaborative approach including managing large technical multi-disciplinary teams and working with partnering customersA keen interest in developing skills in scheduling managementProven ability to deliver to deadlines.Able to work collaboratively with clients in order to deliver results.Professional and ethical in everything that you do.Able to identify and develop a phased approach to delivery, working collaboratively with the client to understand and agree the project requirements.Determined approach to delivery.Good practical application of Microsoft Software, including Project, Excel, and Word.The ability to prepare and implement a range of project tools including programmes, risk registers, Stakeholder Management Plans, Project Execution Plans, and Quality Assurance Plans.Driving licence preferable About Tetra Tech:
