Nuclear Medicine TechnicianThe role:
St Vincent's Clinic Medical Imaging & Nuclear Medicine provides medical imaging and nuclear medicine services to St Vincent's Private Hospital, St Vincent's Clinic and external referrers. It is operated as a joint venture between Darlinghurst Digital (a radiology partnership) and St Vincent's Private Hospital. The service incorporates the use of sophisticated imaging technology at St Vincent's Clinic. A mobile service is also provided to surgery units and wards of the private hospital. The business operates six days a week during business hours and after-hours by arrangement or in response to an emergency.
The Nuclear Medicine Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of imaging at SVCMI&NM's Nuclear Medicine department and managing the overall quality of its work. The role requires a commitment to supporting SVCMI&NM management, quality improvement, a strong customer service focus, and the ability to promote the department with referrers through building an efficient and responsive service.
Your skills and experience: Bachelor of Applied Science / Medical Radiations in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent. Appropriate registration and licensing, as per regulatory requirements.Experience sufficient to permit eligibility for accreditation by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine (ANZSNM).Current Medical Radiation Practitioner registration with AHPRA to practice as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.Successful completion of, or a desire to complete, the Diagnostic CT in Molecular Imaging Course (VSNMT) or equivalent qualification.Radiation use licence issued by the Department of Health.The ability to perform quality imaging examinations in a safe environment.Excellent clinical and technical skills.Ability to interact with patients and other staff.Willingness to follow instructions from senior staff.Awareness of all aspects of radiation safety as they pertain to the practices in Nuclear Medicine.The Company:
