The main role of the Touch Football Development Officer is to grow participation in Touch Football by delivering the First Try program to students within the parameters of their learning and expected program outcomes .
Aside from teaching the game of Touch Football, your other key role will be the provision of a fun and positive experience . We don't anticipate that you will be able to teach these kids all the skills of the game in the limited time you have with them, but we do hope that you can provide an experience with them that ignites an enjoyment for the game and a desire to continue their participation after the completion of the program.
Importantly, as an ambassador for the sport, you are critical in the pathway transition from school-based participation towards local park competitions for Affiliated Touch Football associations in NSW.
You will deliver the First Try Touch Football program within a school and earn money while doing it!
Minimum Requirements Current Working With Children Check – volunteer or professional Payment starts at $40 per session. Session length is 45mins – 60mins. Travel is not included. Some regional areas may have specific funding from schools, on a case-by-case basis.
Payment Structure Sport Australia – General Coaching Principles = $40 per session Foundation Level Coach (or Level 1) = $40 per session Talent Level Coach (or Level 2) = $40 per session Elite Level Coach (or Level 3) = $50 per session You will also receive Coaching Resources Uniform (based on the number of completed programs) Once registered, your details will be sorted based on location. As schools request a program in your area, you will be asked about your availability to deliver the program.
Sessions can run before, during, and after school; while programs can run for 4 to 8 weeks (this is all dependent on the school's request).
