About The Role You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH).

The Workers Compensation Manager is responsible for the lodgement and management of workers compensation claims for SLHD (primarily RPAH).
This position works closely with RPAH Service Manager, RPAH Coordinators, SLHD Workers Compensation Claims Manager, and other Workers Compensation Managers/Officers to support injury management and improve workers compensation claims outcomes.
This position liaises with and responds to queries from workers, managers, Treasury Managed Fund (TMF) claims service provider (EML), solicitors, investigators, doctors, and treatment providers.
This position is also responsible for maintaining information systems and the preparation of regular statistics and reports required for efficient workers compensation claims management.
Ideal Candidate Has knowledge and experience in the application of current NSW workers compensation legislative requirements for claims management and the calculation of claims payments.
Has experience in the management of complex payroll operations, including the calculation of pays.
Able to interpret industrial awards, particularly leave conditions.
Capable of communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing, with workers, injury management and workers compensation team members, managers, supervisors, claims managers, solicitors, investigators, doctors, and treatment providers.
