NSW Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Corporate Leadership GroupSeeking Expressions of Interest - Office of the Women's Safety CommissionerIntroduction The establishment of the NSW Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence Corporate Leadership Group (CLG) reflects the NSW Government's understanding of how critical private sector leadership is to a whole-of-community approach to addressing domestic, family and sexual violence (DFSV) in NSW.
The CLG is a forum where members come together to exchange ideas, share industry lessons and initiatives, and explore potential efforts to keep women and families safe in their homes, in workplaces and in the community.
The CLG meets up to three times per year to take action that: Recognises and champions the critical role the corporate sector plays in preventing gender-based violence, including media reporting and messaging on DFSV.
Strengthens the capacity of the private sector to identify and respond to DFSV.
Explores and strengthens the role of the banking and finance sector in supporting recovery from DFSV.
Champions primary prevention and gender equality in the private sector.
Supports the development and implementation of in-person and online workplace-specific approaches to reduce sexual harassment.
Note: CLG members are not remunerated.
Who should apply We are seeking corporate and private sector leaders who: Have influence and decision-making powers within their industries.
Are motivated to lead a positive shift within their workplaces and industries to address DFSV, sexual harassment and gender inequity.
Are committed to developing a culture where people feel safe and secure to come forward to talk about DFSV and are supported when they do.
Can actively contribute to the NSW Government's efforts to eliminate all forms of DFSV.
Diversity Membership of the CLG should reflect the diversity of the community as a whole.
Particular attention will be given to the representation of women.
Representation of Aboriginal people, people with disability, young people, the LGBTQIA+ community, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and people from regional areas will also be actively explored.
Successful applicants will be recommended for appointment by the Hon Jodie Harrison MP, Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and can hold a term of up to two years.
Successful appointees will be required to undergo a police check.
