Employment type: Ongoing Grade: 9/10 Salary: $125,693– $138,510 p.a. plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role The Senior Policy and Project Officer position sits within the Systemic Change team within the Community and Policy Division. The Senior Project Officer will support operations of the refreshed Multicultural Policies and Services Program (MPSP) across all public sector agencies including yearly sector reporting of the MPSP as per the Multicultural NSW Act (2000). The Senior Policy and Project Officer will also support other systemic change projects aligned to agency priorities such as conducting an anti-racism scoping exercise.
What you'll do The Senior Policy and Project Officer supports the Associate Director and designs, delivers, evaluates and reports on a range of project initiatives and policies. Other important aspects of the role include:
Building and maintaining strategic relationships with stakeholders Undertaking and coordinating research, writing, analysing and governance of policy initiatives Coaching and mentoring team members What we're looking for Demonstrated success in developing innovative approaches to social policy Demonstrated success in developing and implementing interagency projects, reforms or strategic initiatives Demonstrated success in undertaking all aspects of the policy and project process – research, development, project delivery, review and evaluation Exceptional level of written and verbal communication skills Lived experience and/or strong understanding of cultural diversity, and anti-racism concepts People and project management experience Experience working in a government setting.
