Purpose of Position
The position will provide clinical consultation services within NSLHD and will contribute to the teaching and training of medical students, graduates, and other health care professionals, as well as to research, evaluation, and quality improvement activities within the District. The position includes approximately 80% of time to be spent in a clinical role with patients attending the Sexual Health Service and/or clinical meetings. The position also requires junior medical staff supervision and nursing staff clinical support. An active role in on-site provision of teaching for undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and other health professionals is also expected. Provide clinical management and treatment of patients under your care in a Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) facility or service. This care will be provided within the scope of practice endorsed by the NSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee (MDAAC).
Selection Criteria MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. Applicants must have Fellowship of the Chapter of Sexual Health Physicians or equivalent and recognition as a specialist by the Medical Board of Australia.
