We are recruiting to fill NRL Bunker Review Operator roles within our NRL department in Australia. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology as part of a young and dynamic team. The role involves the setup and operation of our SMART Replay system at the NRL Bunker in Sydney for National Rugby League matches and at on-site locations both across Australia and New Zealand for other Hawk-Eye services.
We will equip you with the technical training, support and full exposure to our systems to perform your day to day tasks but also encourage development and progression to help make an impact on what we do.
This is a casual opportunity and will be predominantly weekend based work with hours based around NRL match fixtures. You may be rostered to work weekdays from time to time as well.

Key ResponsibilitiesSetting up the SMART Replay system technologyConducting pre-match checks of the systems in accordance with standard proceduresLiaising with NRL officials, stadium/club personnel, match officials and host broadcasters both on-site and remotelyMonitoring and operating the system during the matchWork with match officials, responding to their requests for replays and quickly delivering them the best possible angles to make crucial decisionsAnalysing software performances, being able to troubleshoot and report encountered issuesBuilding and maintaining our hardware and equipment including being able to ask for replacements to the management team and/or purchasing new or replacement partsOrganising logistics for travelling between stadium locations as and when requiredSkills, Knowledge, and QualificationsEssential Able to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working days including weekends and longer daysAn interest in sport and/or sports analysis, ideally with a good knowledge of the NRL, Bunker and the rules of the gameA strong technical background, ideally in Broadcast or ITBright and enterprising with excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skillsProactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your own initiative with minimum supervisionTime management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, procedural, live broadcast environmentAbility to liaise with clients and customers in a professional and approachable manner with attention to good communication.The right to live and work in AustraliaDesirable Experience working with VT/replay technology desirable, or live event / technical productionA university degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with relevant equivalent experienceAt Hawk-Eye Innovations, we appreciate and value the importance of potential and growth.
