The opportunity Myriota is looking for a new Electronics/NPI engineer to join Myriota's energetic and creative engineering team. We're looking for the right person to help us in the development and manufacture of our industry-changing IoT platform. You will play a key role in providing manufacturing inputs into the product development process and managing manufacture through our partners. You will have both strong technical expertise and the ability to thrive in an exciting startup environment.
Stuff we'll trust you to do Transition new product designs from Engineering to Manufacture Provide DFM/DFT (Design for Manufacture, Design for Test) feedback into the product development process Define best practice manufacturing and test processes Work with contract manufacturers to coordinate prototyping and production activities Continual product quality improvements through investigation of manufacturing-related issues Develop internal and external processes, enforcing and continuously improve processes Work with Myriota design/product and CM suppliers to do Design for Manufacture and Assembly Identify and evaluate material suppliers and establish good relationship Onboard and manage suppliers Work with supply chain manager to address supply chain issues Work with CMs to for product prototyping and mass production Provide updates on a regular basis about new product introduction progress and manufacturing-related issues Act as the key interface between Myriota engineering/product team and suppliers/CMs Engage with supervisor, peers and other departments proactively Initiative and Influential communication Ability to understand design issues and how they would affect product outcomes Work with technical and senior staff to understand product implications of technical issues, strategy and architecture What we'll like about you Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering At least 3 years full time work experience in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Process development, including introduction of hardware products into manufacture at local and remote contract manufacturers Experience specifying and design manufacturing test fixtures Experience with PFMEA, process flow, yield, 8D and similar quality processes. Systems Engineering methodology (Requirements, Verification & Validation) Scripting experience in Python/Bash Energetic, agile and creative problem solver who seeks simple solutions Analytical thinker with attention to detail and the ability to identify and mitigate risks Self-reliant and resourceful with strong initiative, yet able to work in a team Ability to work autonomously while communicating progress regularly Well developed interpersonal skills Results focussed, with strong drive and determination Able to work under pressure and to deliver to deadlines Why Myriota stands out: Driven by Purpose: Meaningful impact on individuals and the planet is at the core of our mission.
