Our client operates a fast paced, professional and collaborative environment to produce an extensive range of products for both Australia and international markets.
Role: The R&D/NPD chemist will be responsible for formulating and delivering new products to the market through planning and implementing development projects from concept through to full-scale production.
Responsibilities include: Identify innovative concepts and trends in the market that are relevant to the industry.
Development of new products following a brief Reformulate existing products while reducing costs of products managing the entire process from conceptualization to full-scale production.
Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Team to provide insights on market trends and innovations.
Prepare laboratory-scale batches for formulation, customer samples, and various tests.
Conduct stability and PET tests to ensure products are in line with agreed specifications to launch products within deadlines.
Assess cosmetic packaging for quality, functionality, and stability to ensure product integrity.
Oversee scale-up and pilot batches, recommending efficiency improvements and cost savings.
Provide support to manufacturing for any troubleshooting & recommendations on how to fix out-of-product specifications.
Skills & experience: Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related discipline.
Experience in the development and formulation of cosmetics and personal care products - essential .
Experience with SAP is beneficial.
Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards.
