About Our Client I've partnered with an exciting FMCG business which has experienced continuous growth in recent years and are looking to strengthen their purchasing team by hiring an NPD Buyer.They've had an impressive amount of success and have quickly become a market leader in consumer products.Based in Sydney CBD. Job Description The successful candidate for the NPD Buyer role will be responsible for:Negotiating with suppliers regarding all commercial aspects & formalising agreements through contract implementation.Working closely with the category team to assess how to best combine portfolios for efficient negotiating positions.Leading all NPD under remit from a Procurement perspective, managing costs over multiple project portfolios.Standing as the main representative of the Procurement team to all suppliers and brands under remit.Managing the total product cost of the NPD and proposing value/design alternatives. The Successful Applicant The successful candidate for the NPD Buyer role will ideally possess the following skills and attributes:Proven analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.Presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.Motivated self-starter as well as collaborative team player.Proven ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally internally and with customers.Intermediate/Advanced MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
