POSITION: Mining Engineer - Underground
WORK LOCATION: Available openings across Jundee, Thunderbox and Carosue Dam
ROSTER: 8 days on, 6 days off – FIFO ex Perth
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Provide directions and information regarding the drilling and blasting schedule and plans to Shift Supervisors and Foreman. Ensure accurate and achievable plans for drilling and blasting activities are completed in time with target schedules. Monitor production activities within the mine to identify and improve designs and productivities. Undertake stope performance assessments for each stope and back analyse to ensure continuous improvement in drilling and blasting plans, designs and controls. Complete stope designs to maximise economic extraction of geological stope shapes with available equipment and manpower resources. Complete summarised stope notes and stope reconciliations no later than 1 month, upon practical completion of stoping. TO THRIVE IN THIS ROLE, YOU'LL NEED: YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS) Practical production experience in mechanised hard-rock underground mining, preferably with exposure to highly productive narrow vein mining. Competent user of Deswik packages (UGDB). Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering or related field. Practical underground time completed. Current "C" Class Western Australian Drivers Licence. YOU'RE GOOD AT (ATTRIBUTES FOR SUCCESS) Proactively engage in safety processes and adherence to required controls. Ability to hold themselves and other accountable to their roles and responsibilities. Critical thinker, agile, a go-getter, have a 'can-do' attitude, positive.
