The Opportunity
Our Asset Management Team currently has a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join them on a permanent & full-time basis. Based at our Head Office situated in Subiaco , this key appointment will be required to utilise their extensive electrical experience & knowledge to provide technical, engineering & project support across all of NSR's operational & project areas.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Ensure EI&C projects are designed, managed, and completed to the required regulatory, engineering, and internal specifications, requirements, and standards. Supply technical input and assist with electrical queries that are raised within the business. Attend site as required to deliver technical support. Undertake or assist with statutory electrical audits. Manage all activities so that they are carried out in a cost-effective manner. The ability to develop appropriate action plans in order to respond to current & emerging issues. About you
With extensive (5+ years) Electrical Project Engineering experience within a mining or heavy industrial environment, you possess a solid understanding of electrical-based maintenance activities, along with a genuine passion for learning, developing & progressing your career in the electrical field.
The following will see you set for success in this key role:
A tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Membership of Engineers Australia or eligibility to become a member. Experience with and exposure to project management and accompanying principles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative & functional relationships across a diverse range of stakeholders. People management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead from the front and by example to help drive successful outcomes and achieve departmental objectives and deliverables. Exposure to and an understanding of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act & Regulations. Well organised, with the ability to anticipate and plan for likely scenarios related to all key responsibility areas. Strong computer skills and proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite, Power Factory & Navisworks. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, with the ability to multitask effectively, in a dynamic & outcome-focused environment.
