Salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax free (conditions apply) Remote allowance of $3,300 per annum (if applicable) Annual airfare allowance 6 weeks annual leave 3 weeks personal leave About the role
As the Senior Finance Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations and reporting of our dynamic organisation. You will assist the Senior Accountant to manage and deliver the finance function with motivation and a commitment to professional excellence.
What you'll be doing
Undertaking bank reconciliations Providing general accounting support and guidance Completing month end general ledger reconciliations Compiling and completing grant applications and assisting the Financial Accountant/Senior Accountant in preparing acquittals with internal stakeholders Asset register maintenance Assisting with audit preparation and required documentation Assisting with accounts payable/accounts receivable Reconciling credit card and petty cash Preparing ad-hoc and regular reports as required What we're looking for
A relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance Previous experience in a similar finance role, preferably within the not-for-profit or public sector Expertise in financial management, accounting, and budgeting principles and procedures Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality financial outcomes Commitment to continuous improvement and a strong attention to detail Requirements
