Salary packaging options up to $18,450 per annum tax free (conditions apply) Remote allowance of $3,300 per annum (if applicable) Annual airfare allowance 6 weeks annual leave 3 weeks personal leave About the role As an Intensive Case Manager – Adult or Youth, you will provide culturally safe, client-centred and trauma-informed intensive case management support to clients.
You will work closely with Aboriginal clients leaving youth detention to address their complex needs and support their rehabilitation and social reintegration, to reconnect with their culture, family and communities to break the cycle of offending.
NAAJA's Throughcare Programs (Throughcare) is a voluntary holistic journey of strengths-based, intensive case management and support for Aboriginal people to reintegrate to the community and reduce risk of recidivism following their release from prison across the NT.
What you'll be doing Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify clients' needs and develop customised case plans Coordinating and facilitating access to a range of therapeutic, social, and practical support services Advocating on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the appropriate level of assistance Maintaining detailed case records and reporting on client progress Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver client-centred, holistic support Participating in regular supervision and professional development activities What we're looking for Demonstrated experience in case management Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with Aboriginal clients Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Familiarity with the youth and criminal justice system, local community services landscape and ability to navigate complex systems Cultural awareness and sensitivity in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients The ability to speak an Aboriginal language and/or a degree in social work or related field would be desirable Requirements Right to work in Australia with no restrictions Valid NT Drivers Licence Satisfactory national criminal history check Ability to obtain a working with children clearance (Ochre Card) A willingness to travel to remote communities and bush courts If you're excited about this opportunity, we encourage you to apply now!
