We are seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager for a full-time position in our Mount Isa QLD branch.
You will be responsible for leading, supervising and scheduling staff in the field and workshop, delivering high standard machine builds, repairs and services on time to meet customer demands, whilst maintaining a safe and inclusive working environment.

Your abilities
Leadership – mentoring, motivating and developing staff to foster a positive, supportive and productive work environment Communication – building strong, supportive relationships with customers, internal stakeholders and staff through open communication, listening to other perspectives and providing constructive feedback Critical Thinking – assessing situations, making informed decisions based on data, facts and identifying potential risks that may impact upon service delivery, determining resolutions Scheduling and Resourcing – reviewing customer and delivery demands to plan and schedule work and staffing Safety – driving safety as a core part of the operations of the workshop at toolbox talks, reinforcing with staff that it is a shared responsibility to provide a safe workplace and identifying areas for improvement Compliance – ensuring staff are inducted on and remain compliant with, Normet processes, policies and procedures Productivity – developing and implement strategies to improve the efficiency of the workshop and the delivery to customers Your experience and skills
Minimum 5 years' experience - in Mining, Manufacturing, Agriculture, Heavy Automobile or Marine Industries Driver's License – current Modification and repair of heavy mobile equipment – mechanical / electrical Production Planning – demand forecasting and scheduling Understanding Drawings and Schematics - engineering drawings, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics Quality control systems – experience in and understanding the impact on a manufacturing business Environmental awareness and protection - relating to the manufacturing environment Full working rights in Australia is essential in order to be considered for this position.
The successful candidate must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Clearance before commencement.
