Assistant Director - Finance and Procurement The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity, and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred.

NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry.
This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities.

Role:
NOPSEMA is recruiting an experienced Assistant Director - Finance and Procurement to join its Finance and Procurement Team, based in our Perth Office.

The Assistant Director - Finance and Procurement reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and leads and manages NOPSEMA's finance activities including management and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, procurement, and finance audits.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role you will lead, develop and mentor a small finance and procurement team and be responsible for the management and governance of the day-to-day activities.

You will act as the lead point of contact for technical guidance and administer the governance of finance and procurement policies, processes and systems, and drive continuous improvement.

Exceptional leadership skills and experience.
Sound technical and analytical skills.
Process improvement and fostering a continuous improvement culture.
Fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including a background of liaising with government and regulatory bodies.
Implementing and maintaining efficient and robust financial processes and governance.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Reliable team player, with the ability to take initiative to resolve issues and flexibility to manage priorities in a dynamic environment.
