About the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board The Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (the Board) is a Queensland statutory body that regulates non-state schools in Queensland.
The purpose of the Board is to uphold the highest standards of education in non-state schools, maintain public confidence in their operation, and foster educational choice in Queensland.
The Board's functions include assessing applications for school accreditation, determining eligibility for government funding, monitoring ongoing compliance, and enforcing adherence to the Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Act 2017 (the 'Act') and Education (Accreditation of Non-State Schools) Regulation 2017.
About the Role and You As an Authorised person, this role places you at the forefront of supporting and educating Queensland's non-state schools to ensure adherence to critical accreditation and governance criteria.
You'll conduct thorough assessments, contribute to educational excellence, and offer guidance to schools, ensuring compliance with requirements.
Your expertise will support schools in aligning with legislation and foster a proactive culture of compliance and continuous improvement across the non-state education sector.
Reporting directly to the Board, you will work closely with other Authorised Persons and sector leaders, assessing a wide range of criteria from educational standards to governance practices.
Your role will include providing targeted support to schools, advising on best practices, and investigating any complaints or non-compliance issues.
This role is ideally suited to education professionals with proven experience in school governance, but also legal, finance, or investigative professionals with strong report-writing and stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach.
You will be committed to participate in training and briefings to build and strengthen capabilities.
Key to your success will be your ability to build trust, navigate sensitive situations, and assess compliance with a balanced perspective.
You should possess excellent analytical skills and be prepared for travel across Queensland.
Experience in regional or First Nations education contexts is highly regarded.
