Non Executive Director, Motor Accidents Insurance Board

The Motor Accidents Insurance Board (MAIB), based in Launceston, is a Tasmanian Government Business Enterprise that administers the funding and payment of Tasmania's compulsory third party motor accident insurance scheme. The organisation is seeking a Non-Executive Director to join the Board and assist in MAIB's governance.
As a Director, the person appointed will exercise due care, diligence and skill in relation to oversight of:
Organisational culture
Business operations
Strategic planning
Financial management
Regulatory compliance
Risk and stakeholder management
Applicants should possess contemporary knowledge and experience of governance practices. A career background that includes experience with the valuation of long-term financial assets and liabilities is highly desirable, combined with a broad knowledge of financial markets, with particular emphasis on the investment markets.
