Description: The Computer Science and Engineering Technology department is seeking a research assistant to provide assistance to faculty. The research assistant will be responsible for conducting a literature review, performing experiments, testing materials, analyzing results, preparing reports, and submitting a final report to a journal or conference. The role will primarily involve work in the concrete lab environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Strong understanding of the mechanics of materials and physics Proficiency in mathematics, particularly in areas relevant to the mechanics of materials Ability to conduct experimental research, analyze data, and draw meaningful conclusions Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and presentations Detail-oriented and capable of working independently as well as part of a team Prior experience in materials testing or related fields is preferred Enthusiasm for research and a willingness to learn new techniques and methodologies Qualifications: Must be a current UHD student Must have a GPA above 3.0 Must be available to work 20 hours per week in a concrete lab setting Required Attachments by Candidate: Resume, Class Schedule
