Description: The Student Photographer will be responsible for capturing high-quality images that highlight the activities and events hosted by the Office of Human Resources. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build a professional portfolio and gain valuable experience in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities: Capture high-quality photographs of events and activities.Collaborate with HR staff to understand project requirements and desired outcomes.Organize and maintain a digital photo archive for easy access and retrieval.Exhibit strong attention to detail and a keen eye for composition, lighting, and color.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with HR staff and other departments.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: Must be a current UHD Student.Must have a professional camera.Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis, including some evenings and weekends as required.Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in event or portrait photography.A portfolio showcasing a variety of photography work.Demonstrated experience and proficiency in photography, including knowledge of camera equipment and photo editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).About University of Houston Downtown: Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024, the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD) is the second-largest university in Houston and has served the educational needs of the nation's fourth-largest city since 1974.
