Department Overview
Noggin is a leader in integrated resilience management technology, offering a next-generation, cloud-based platform that combines 10 essential solutions into one unified system. Our award-winning platform seamlessly integrates operational and third-party risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, incident and crisis management, emergency management, and security and safety operations.
The product management department is a dynamic team responsible for leading the planning, development, launch, and lifecycle of the company's SaaS products. The team collaborates effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, engineering, marketing, and sales. We analyse market trends, gather customer feedback, prioritize features, and configure innovative solutions to deliver highly competitive and compelling products in alignment with market needs and business goals. From ideation through to post-implementation review, we oversee the entire product lifecycle, ensuring that the product is highly usable, meets customer needs, maintains high quality, and delivers substantial business value.
Job Description
We are committed to delivering innovative and impactful SaaS solutions that delight customers and drive business success. We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our dynamic and fast-paced product management team. You will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for Noggin's cloud-based software products. Your work will help users understand and maximize the value of Noggin's software, and play a crucial role in enhancing the overall user experience and ongoing adoption.
Key Responsibilities Establish and maintain a deep and detailed understanding of Noggin's products, and the contexts, aptitudes, demographics, and learning needs of end users. Develop and maintain high-quality learning center articles, in-application tours, release notes, and other technical documents that clearly communicate complex information in a user-friendly manner. Collaborate with product managers, product owners, designers, and engineers to gather and update product information, and translate it into accurate and engaging user documentation. Monitor support questions, learning center feedback, and feedback from internal teams to continually improve document quality and address any areas for improvement. Effectively engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously, and work independently and collaboratively with product managers, product owners, designers, and engineers. Administer Noggin's client-facing learning center system, ensuring content is well organized, appropriately categorized, accessible, and relevant with each software release. Take a methodical and structured approach to describing product features in line with established company guidelines and maintains a consistent tone and format. Maintain knowledge of modern trends and best practices regarding communication to software end-users and apply that knowledge in your work including suggestions for improvements. Coordinate the planning, publication, and distribution of learning content. Basic Requirements Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Computing Science, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience of 5+ years as a technical writer, preferably in the SaaS or software industry, with a strong portfolio of technical documentation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand and interpret technical information from various sources. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality documentation. Experience producing software tour or training videos, including hands-on screen capture & basic video/audio editing. It will also be beneficial (not mandatory) if you have: Knowledge of business continuity, incident management, or mass communications.
