Staff Specialist Remuneration: $262,376 - $323,777 per annum full time equivalent depending on experience
VMO Remuneration: As per NSW Health applicable VMO remuneration rates
Hours Per Week: Up to 40 hours per week

Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes delivering a healthy community through quality care.
Provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities as well as providing training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Where you'll be working
Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW. These services include a state-of-the-art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Women's Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging department, and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic, and Specialist Outpatient Clinics are also located on the Lismore Base Hospital campus. Lismore Base Hospital's multi-million-dollar redevelopment has recently been completed.

Selection Criteria
Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Anaesthetist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Anaesthesia and be able to provide comprehensive anaesthesia services within all hospitals of the Networks' Surgical Services. This includes elective, emergency, acute pain and perioperative services, inclusive of an extensive practice in regional anaesthesia.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.Availability and willingness to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.Applications Close: 5 December 2024 (Applications will be reviewed as received)
