Where you'll be working Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW. These services include a state-of-the-art Operating Theatre Suite, Intensive Care/Cardiac Care Unit, General Medical and Surgical Wards, Womens Care Unit, Paediatric Unit, Renal Unit, Emergency Department, Medical Imaging department and Cardiac Catheter Laboratory. Mental Health Inpatient Units, the North Coast Cancer Institute, Pathology, Pain Management Clinic, and Specialist Outpatient Clinics are also located on the Lismore Base Hospital campus. Selection Criteria MBBS or equivalent, current registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Post Graduate qualification in General Surgery FRACS. Demonstrated interest in rural/regional General Surgery. Demonstrated ability to work with appropriate independence within supervised, complex clinical environment. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and computer skills, with demonstrated good organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplinary team, as well as a professional attitude and flexibility. Preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters.
