Are you looking for a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to support the Australian Defence Force's critical communications infrastructure? Babcock is seeking a skilled and experienced Defence High Frequency Communications System Operator to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in operating the existing Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS) while supporting the implementation and operation of the upgraded Enhanced Defence High Frequency Communications System (EDHFCS).
About youYour responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Performing and delivering contracted Operations Support for the DHFCS and EDHFCS.Conducting initial investigations into system failures and reliability concerns whilst maintaining accurate records.Ensuring compliance with SOPs to achieve competency to operate our DHFCS and EDHFCS systems.Ideally you will have a minimum of one year experience as a Defence Communications Operator, or experience in a similar field. You will have the ability to maintain an Australian Defence security clearance, and work as part of a high functioning team. Trade qualifications in either communications or network/HF engineering would be highly desirable.
