Join our team as a NILS Practitioner, where you'll play a vital role in supporting people on low incomes achieve financial stability through the No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS). This is a part-time 0.6 FTE position, providing the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to your community. In this rewarding role, you'll work closely with loan applicants, helping them prepare their applications and conducting interviews either face-to-face or over the phone. Your work will primarily focus on the South West region, with opportunities to support applicants across other areas of Victoria as needed.

A full list of key duties is outlined in the Position Description, but includes responsibilities in: Serve the needs of NILS clients through initial inquiries, follow up telephone referrals and/or on-site inquiries, conducting personal or telephone interviews, and all relevant administrative duties.Promotion of NILS program and services to the South West region including other agencies, community groups, organizations, and the general public.Ensure you have access to and comply with legislation, standards, policies, practices, and procedures relevant to the program area.Ensure a professional standard of care and service provision according to the philosophy of Brophy Family and Youth Services.Do your skills include: A general understanding of financial literacy.A high level of discretion with the ability to provide sound judgement relating to confidential information.A demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the appropriate legislation, case management practice, and the ability to adhere to policy and procedures.An ability to maintain positive, effective working relationships with colleagues, peers, and relevant stakeholders in a wide range of government, business, and community organisations.Are your credentials: A minimum Cert IV Accounting/Bookkeeping or related field.Or:
