Night Shift Generator Service Engineer required. Our client boasts one of the widest ranges of generators and ancillary equipment in the UK, ranging from 20kva to 1250kva, that can handle anything from a planned event to an emergency power shortage. They are now looking for a Night Shift Generator Service Engineer in Normanton due to the growth of the business. This position is 4 on 4 off, night shifts include weekends 6:30pm -7:30am (13 hours, 12 hours paid 1-hour unpaid break).
Successful candidates will support the Service Department in the repair and maintenance of hire fleet and customer equipment. Candidates will provide a high quality of service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Night Shift Generator Service Engineer Position Overview Carry out planned service and maintenance work on both hire fleet and customers equipment. Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet and customers equipment. Preparation of equipment for hire. Installation and disconnection of equipment on site. (Synchronising where appropriate). Installation and commissioning of power to temporary site accommodation. (Wiring in where appropriate). Carry out duties on call out rota system. Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedure. Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork. Ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner. Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect. Always act in the best interests of any of the company and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute. Proactively contribute to the company's policy of continuous improvement. Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications. Night Shift Generator Service Engineer Position Requirements 3+ years' experience in a similar role or industry (generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering/high voltage). Any Plant/Mechanical engineering qualifications (NVQ's or apprenticeship qualifications). Fork Lift Truck Licence (desired but training can be provided). Electrical Qualifications advantageous. Happy staying away on the odd occasion. Night Shift Generator Service Engineer Salary & Benefits Salary: £29,000 - £32,850
Working hours: 4 days on 4 days off, 6:30pm to 7:30am. Weekends and Bank Holidays are part of the normal rota and are not subject to overtime payments.
