Check-in/check-out hotel guests courteously and efficiently; process all payments according to established hotel requirements. Provide information and assistance to all guests and visitors, perform concierge tasks, upsell services as much as possible, and serve as an ambassador to Novotel Miami Brickell.Work overnight and oversee all activities in the hotel, assisting loss prevention and engineering with any guest needs or requests.Run and audit the assigned reports to close the day and turn them to management.Perform the required system saves during the night audit shift to ensure a current back-up of the hotel files is available.Post and audit banquet checks in order of the banquet summary sheet.Reconcile all Food and Beverage outlet postings.Verify front desk cashier work is balanced.Perform an accurate bucket check of all in-house registration cards.Ensure all guest accounts are accurately posted with room and tax.Complete all night audit functions.Distribute all close day reports and morning reports to the appropriate departments.Transmit accurate data to Management.Prepare and distribute the Daily Report (Daily Business Summary DBS).Physical Abilities:Exert physical effort in transporting 25 pounds to guests or other hotel areas.Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.Remain in a stationary position for several minutes/hours throughout the work shift.Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers.Secondary Job Functions:Assist PBX with switchboard duties.Assist with Reservations calls.Assist in other Front Desk areas as assigned.Ensure guests are advised of the loyalty program.Document maintenance needs on work orders and submit to Manager.Answer In-Room Dining guest calls and take orders as needed.Minimum Qualifications:High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate.Basic arithmetic skills.Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally.Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.Ability to prioritize and organize.Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.Excellent phone & verbal communication skills.Previous front desk hotel experience, night auditor, and cashier.Fluency in a foreign language (Spanish) is a plus.Certification in CPR is a plus.Previous guest relations training is a plus.Working Environment:Sitting, walking, standing, bending, writing, typing, filing.Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and pushing of supply carts.Interior of hotel, in normal office conditions.All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
