About the role
As a Night Auditor, you'll be the welcoming presence for guests during the overnight hours, ensuring they experience a seamless and memorable stay. From handling late-night transactions and balancing accounts to providing local insights, you'll be there to meet guest needs with precision and empathy. With every interaction, you'll create a warm, secure atmosphere that helps guests feel truly at home, no matter the hour.
Your day to day
As a key player in enhancing guest experience, you will provide a warm welcome that sets the tone for their stay, managing bookings while identifying upselling opportunities and addressing preferences to ensure satisfaction. You'll acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, efficiently handling check-ins and check-outs, and offering concierge services as needed. As a brand ambassador, you'll take pride in your appearance and serve as a trusted point of contact for guests, assisting with inquiries and coordinating with management when necessary. Additionally, you will manage financial transactions responsibly and adhere to safety procedures and company policies to maintain a secure environment.
What we need from you
As a Night Auditor, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive guest experience throughout the overnight hours. You'll acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests, whether in person or over the phone, and serve as a reliable point of contact for all guests, assisting with everything from billing inquiries to local recommendations. You'll also prepare and circulate the hotel's daily briefing email, keeping everyone informed and prepared.
Financially, you'll manage cash and credit transactions, verify system accuracy before running the night audit, and ensure a close of the business date across all systems. Additionally, you'll follow all standard operating procedures and company safety policies, reporting incidents and using protective equipment as required to maintain a safe environment. With flexibility, you'll also take on ad hoc responsibilities as assigned, contributing to the hotel's overall success during the overnight shift.
Appropriate Australian working rights are required for this role.
What we offer
The base hourly rate for this position is $25.87 under the Hayman Island Enterprise Agreement, working a minimum of 30 hours per week across a 7-day roster with overnight shifts.
