Unique opportunity to support research within the University of Sydney's National Imaging Facility (NIF) node Base Salary $140,913 - $148,684 + 17% superannuation About the opportunity Sydney Imaging, who hosts The University of Sydney's National Imaging Facility (NIF) node, is currently seeking a NIF Radiochemist who will be responsible for managing and directing all services related to radiochemistry activities associated with Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging research.
Your key responsibilities include:
Develop and produce radiopharmaceuticals to meet the needs of the Sydney Imaging and NIF user community (preclinical and clinical).Oversee radiochemistry facility operations, such as maintaining laboratory equipment, documentation, processes, and procedures ensuring strict adherence to relevant regulatory guidelines.Foster strong links with users, including researchers, students, industry, and business users.Organise appropriate training and induction programs for end-users of the facility.Participate in the development of new radiochemistry capabilities.Assist with NIF and USYD reporting activities for the facility.About you Postgraduate degree in Chemistry, Radiochemistry, or a related discipline.
Extensive experience in a radiochemistry related role.
Expert knowledge of radiopharmaceutical production techniques and QC.
Experience with GMP standards and regulatory compliance.
Strong leadership, communication, and facility management skills.
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and develop innovative solutions in radiopharmaceutical science.
Proven track record in research, including publication and presentation of results in peer-reviewed forums.
