Due to growth in the business, an exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Contracts Administrator to join their team based in Mackay. On offer is a permanent position with the opportunity to further your career. You will be working with a positive team in a supportive environment.
The responsibilities of this role include:
Manage and undertake the procurement, contract management and financial reporting of commercial projects. Compile documentation required for procurement of sub-contractors and material suppliers tendering including scope of works, drawings, specification etc. Complete calling of tenders/process, review, and present recommendation reports to Project Manager for approval. Chair and record minutes of Site Meetings, Cost Review and Subcontractors Meetings etc. Monitor all suppliers and sub-contractors invoices/progress claims to ensure compliance with BIF Act and current legislative requirements and authorisation of monthly payments. Procure all materials/plant with assistance from the Site Manager for use on site within agreed preferred supplier contracts and budget constraints. Raise purchase orders as required. Monitor and evaluate all sub-contractor variation requests prior to final approval by Project Manager. Compile monthly progress and cost reports throughout the project to final completion. Ensure cost allocations are coded and costed correctly. Working with the CiteCon team, you will drive process improvement initiatives and have intermediate level computer skills, and the ability to make decisions based on the core values of the company. You must possess good communication skills, be honest, reliable, and have pride in your work.
To be considered for this role you will need:
A minimum of 3-5 years' practical experience in a commercial construction contracts administrator role, specifically with commercial projects up to $20M. A Bachelor of Construction Management, QS, Engineering, or a construction related qualification. Demonstrated experience in delivering projects from start to finish. Experience in using either Jobpac, Cheops, Jonas Premier and Hammertech. Strong commercial contractual knowledge. High standards of verbal and written communication. Cost Reporting and forecasting.
