This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor in the Musculoskeletal Outpatients Team at Deeside Community Hospital.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and motivated individual who has the skills and ability to engage well with their patients and work both independently and as part of a team.
Relevant evidence of experience in rehabilitation is desired.
You would carry your own caseload of patients with supervision and support from qualified therapists.
Additionally, you would be involved in the organisation and leading of rehabilitation classes, with support from qualified therapists.
You will also have experience of handling techniques to facilitate patient movement, and/or rehabilitation, implementing exercise and rehabilitation programmes.
You will work with others in the team in the treatment of patients.
Main duties of the job To assist the qualified physiotherapist in the overall physiotherapy management of patients in collaboration with carers, support workers, health staff and agencies.
Under the direction and guidance of the qualified physiotherapist, to manage and be responsible for their own clinical caseload of clients, following therapeutic programmes in order to improve their physical abilities and to minimise disabilities.
To work independently using own initiative, within level of competence.
To participate on an Orthopaedic weekend rota based in Wrexham Maelor Hospital rehabilitating post-operative patients.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
