POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking an organized individual as a part of our CDP Operations team, who can navigate and deliver on the project outcomes in a seamless and effective manner and become an essential part of the overall team's success.
LOCATION: This role is based in Papunya and will require some amount of travel which will be between Alice Springs, Papunya, Haasts Bluff and Mt Liebig.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Undertaking buildouts and maintenance-related activities for the yard based at our hub in Papunya and other remote communities. Carry out the maintenance of the yard, related equipment and ongoing work. Oversee and work on the buildout of any new properties of the organization responsibly. Working in partnership with other CDP staff to engage and teach community members about meaningful construction and maintenance work in their community. Train team members to perform basic maintenance tasks in the community. Providing a safe working environment for them to carry out work on their cars in the shed. Liaise with the Operations Coordinator to identify suitable training and teaching opportunities across our region. Develop participation from community members. Preparing reports and maintaining documents and files. YOU WILL HAVE: A Trade, mechanical, or similar qualification along with mechanical proficiency. MUST be Safety qualified or willing to do so immediately after commencement. Excellent organizational skills and a high degree of self-initiation to get things done. Prior experience of either living or working in remote communities and working in a similar role will be preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures, build and maintain relationships in the most effective way possible. Experience in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated experience in operational support. White Card, or similar. WHAT WE OFFER: A competitive salary plus above guaranteed Superannuation rate.
