The Maintenance fitter will be responsible for repairs, installations, and maintenance of machinery and equipment across our Brooklyn site. Working on the afternoon shift, the Maintenance fitter will have shift times of Monday to Thursday 3pm to 11pm and Friday 12pm to 5pm.
Their key duties will include:
The timely action and satisfactory completion of machine breakdowns. The timely action and satisfactory completion of PM work as directed. Provide technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams. Following safe work practices at all times. Adherence to Opal values, procedures, and policies. Play a key role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices on the site. Assist with ordering components from external suppliers as necessary with appropriate approval. Respond to specific requests regarding the details of repair and/or maintenance to equipment on a technical basis. Provide reasonable support outside of normal working hours if required (reasonable overtime). The successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate strong fault-finding and communication skills and have the ability to problem solve and show initiative.

Trade qualified fitter or equivalent. Experience in high-speed production lines and environment will be advantageous. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised in a team environment.
