About the role: As the headspace Manager for Kalgoorlie, you will lead, develop, implement, oversee, and manage the operations and future growth of the headspace Kalgoorlie Centre.
You will work closely with a range of stakeholders to ensure all activities align with the headspace grant agreement, and direction from the lead agency, WAPHA, headspace National Office, consortium partners, and reference groups.
Requirements of the role: This role requires a highly motivated individual capable of facilitating excellence in integrated, holistic health care to improve outcomes for clients and the wider community.
You will need demonstrated experience in managing staff and team performance, and the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders.
A Tertiary qualification in behavioural/social sciences, youth work, health/mental health nursing, or an approved equivalent is essential.
Key responsibilities include: Lead, develop, oversee, and evaluate service delivery to young people and their families in accordance with the headspace grant agreement.
Communicate, promote, and progress HOPE's vision, strategic plan, and regional business plan, in collaboration with the Regional General Manager.
Promote and contribute to a supportive team environment.
Provide management oversight to headspace staff at the headspace Esperance Service.
Oversee the day-to-day operation of the headspace Kalgoorlie Centre.
Manage the recruitment and selection of new staff and ensure their orientation to service procedures and operations.
Monitor staff performance and development, addressing performance issues effectively.
Shape a productive working environment where staff understand their contributions to organisational success.
Support the Regional General Manager Goldfields North in developing the annual regional business plan and ensuring deliverables are met.
About you: Commitment to working in culturally secure and competent ways.
Degree level qualifications in allied health, behavioural/social sciences, youth work, mental health nursing, or a related discipline, or extensive relevant experience.
Substantial experience managing operational systems for a health or community services organisation.
Experience managing all aspects of staff performance, including recruitment, supervision, and team building.
Proven track record in building effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with diverse individuals.
A broad understanding of the challenges faced by young people in Australia.
This role requires the following clearances: Working with Children Check Current unrestricted WA Driver's licence National Police Clearance (no older than 3 months) Appointments will be subject to Australian residency/visa, satisfactory National Criminal Record checks, the Working With Children Check, current driver's license, and suitable work referee.
