The Role We are currently looking for a Health and Safety Advisor for 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
You will be working with the Safety Manager to assist with the development and implementation of HSW policies and practices, aimed at providing a safe and healthy work environment with the aim of minimising accidents and associated costs.
This role will provide the successful candidate with the opportunity to expand their skills in a wide range of Health and Safety initiatives.
Key Role Responsibilities Assist in the education of Managers, supervisors, and staff on their responsibilities to reduce risk and manage hazards within the workplace. Co-ordinate HSW training sessions to ensure education systems are in place to achieve ongoing compliance and maintenance of a safe work environment. Promote B-safe and compliance with HSW legislation. Review HSW policies and procedures to ensure current policy reflects HSW requirements. Assist with Injury Management and Workers Compensation matters where required. Conduct Safety Audits. Manage Safety Culture platform. Requirements: Experience in a Health and Safety Officer/Advisor role. Strong MS Office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience with SafetyCulture will be highly regarded. Tertiary Qualification in Safety or working towards it will be highly regarded. What do we offer: 5 Weeks annual leave.
