We are seeking a proactive and caring person to provide leadership and administrative assistance within our boarding house.
St Hilda's School is one of Australia's leading PP-12 Anglican Day and Boarding Schools for girls located on the Gold Coast of Queensland. We have been offering a caring community life for boarders for more than a century and today, our community comprises up to 185 girls enrolled from Years 6 to 12. Along with our traditional enrolment of girls from rural Australia, we also have boarders from the nearby Northern Rivers region of New South Wales. The Head of Junior Boarding oversees the pastoral care (physical, emotional, spiritual and academic wellbeing) offered to girls in their care and maintains professional and pastoral contact with Boarder parents. This role reports to the Head of Boarding and works closely with the Head of Senior Boarding and Connection and Activities Coordinator.
The successful applicant must hold Queensland College of Teachers registration and qualifications and experience to teach in areas such as HPE or Hospitality will be highly regarded to suit existing timetable requirements. There may be potential for an ongoing teaching role in 2025. They must be willing to have their name submitted to the Anglican Church's Professional Standards Register.
Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent will be required to live on campus and perform a 0.4 Teaching Load. Accommodation (furnished) is provided to the individual and their family (if applicable) within the School campus, along with reasonable costs for utilities.
