Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group (NCG) represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

The Opportunity: This is a unique and impactful leadership opportunity for a highly motivated healthcare professional looking to make a difference in underserved communities. As the Manager - Health Operations, you will provide strategic oversight and operational management for health services, working closely with teams to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and better healthcare outcomes. You will collaborate with local communities, government bodies, and other stakeholders to address healthcare needs, ensuring that services are both effective and sustainable.
About You: You are an experienced and dedicated healthcare leader with a strong track record in managing health operations, particularly in challenging or underserved environments. With a minimum of 5 years' experience in healthcare leadership, you have developed a deep understanding of the complexities involved in delivering quality care in resource-constrained settings.
You have proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, including clinical and administrative staff, and are adept at driving operational efficiency and improving healthcare outcomes. Your leadership is characterised by your ability to inspire and motivate teams, while fostering a positive, inclusive, and resilient work culture.
In addition to your leadership skills, you have essential experience in managing budgets, resources, and operational processes, and you understand the financial aspects of healthcare service delivery. You have a strong grasp of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and the cultural sensitivities required to ensure that services are both effective and relevant to the communities you serve.
You are a skilled communicator and collaborator, able to build strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, and external stakeholders. Above all, you are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the health and well-being of underserved populations.
