We have the largest women's podcast network in the world, and our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls.What We're Looking For:As a News Producer, you will create content across all news sub-sections, including Australian and international news, politics, sport, crime, and real-life stories, tailored for the Mamamia audience. You'll work closely with editors and be responsible for on-call breaking news, with hours from Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm.Responsibilities include:Pitching, writing, and publishing news content for Mamamia's website and social channels.Monitoring media platforms to stay updated on conversations, breaking news, and major events.Reviewing and editing content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and style adherence.Conducting fact-checking, source verification, and original research to ensure content credibility.Developing original story ideas, conducting interviews, and building key relationships to generate quality stories.Commissioning and sourcing content, and collaborating with Mamamia's daily news podcast, The Quicky.Writing engaging headlines, creating social assets, and optimizing articles for SEO.Monitoring article performance, staying updated on industry trends, and appearing in podcasts or videos as needed.About You:Minimum two years experience as a content producer for a digital publisher.Proven experience using social platforms to distribute content.A team player who takes ownership of responsibilities, communicates effectively, and gives and receives feedback with honesty and respect.Ability to prioritize the needs and perspectives of our audience and commercial partners in decision-making and problem-solving.Demonstrated ability to adapt a measured approach and drive process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.Life at Mamamia:We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative.
