Mamamia is on the lookout for a News Producer to join our best-in-class Editorial team.But first, here's a bit about us.Mamamia is Australia's largest women's media company.Our core purpose is to make the world a better place for women and girls. Mamamia reaches seven million women each month across our written, video, audio, and social platforms and we have the largest women's podcast network in the world.What we're looking for.As a News Producer, you will create content across all news sub-sections, including Australian and international news, politics, sport, crime, and real-life stories, tailored for the Mamamia audience. You'll work closely with editors and be responsible for on-call breaking news, with hours from Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm.Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us: Pitch, write, and publish news content for Mamamia's website and social channels. Monitor media platforms to stay updated on conversations, breaking news, and major events. Review and edit content for grammar, clarity, accuracy, and style adherence. Conduct fact-checking, source verification, and original research to ensure content credibility. Develop original story ideas, conduct interviews, and build key relationships to generate quality stories. Commission and source content, and collaborate with Mamamia's daily news podcast, The Quicky. Write engaging headlines, create social assets, and optimize articles for SEO. Monitor article performance, stay updated on industry trends, and appear in podcasts or videos as needed.Now, a bit about you. Minimum two years experience as a content producer for a digital publisher Proven experience using social platforms to distribute content A team player who takes ownership of responsibilities, communicates effectively and gives and receives feedback with honesty, respect, curiosity, and openness. Ability to prioritise the needs and perspectives of our audience and commercial partners in decision-making and problem-solving Demonstrated ability to adapt a measured approach and drive process improvement initiatives and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment.Life at Mamamia.We're fast-paced, innovative, and deeply collaborative.
