We are seeking an experienced and motivated SQE Advisor to join the Keolis Downer Hunter team, who will be working alongside the State Manager and National Head of SQE to oversee the safety, quality, and environment systems within KD Hunter. This position advises and partners with leaders and staff in SQE matters such as auditing, hazard management, and drug and alcohol testing/reporting, to ensure the effective management of SQE compliance across organisational, contract, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience as part of a high-performing team onsite and be able to contribute to a positive and dynamic working culture.
The role Development and review of safety, quality, and environmental systems and documents. Compliance management against ISO requirements including monitoring and reporting on management systems such as MyOsh, Sharepoint, and TIMS. Conducting workplace inspections and audits in line with applicable ISO and compliance requirements. Conducting risk assessments and reviews including investigations. Conducting and monitoring noise and other workplace assessments. Development and review of safety-related training programs in consultation with management. Managing communication and consultation with SQE committees including toolbox talks. Coordination of drills and SQE exercises. Assisting and consulting on the development and facilitation of annual management reviews and business plans. Ongoing and ad hoc SQE reporting and special projects. What we are looking for Certificate IV Workplace Health and Safety. At least 3 years working experience in safety and/or compliance, preferably within the Transport Industry, with adequate knowledge of applicable legislation, codes of practice, and standards. Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, 45001, 14001 with awareness of ISO 55001. Internal auditing and incident investigation experience. Experience in developing and implementing documented processes. Ability to build relationships with the aptitude to work within a team or independently. Capable of communicating clearly and concisely both verbally and through written reports. Ability to build, maintain, and foster business relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Project management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Qualified in First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain). Certificate IV TAE, or equivalent (desirable). Fire Safety Advisor (desirable). 2 years in the public transport sector and/or bus driving experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr
