ROLE This role will involve being part of the New Product Development (NPD) team based in Dublin and dealing daily with our office in China. You will be involved in all aspects of new product development for the ROBUS range of lighting products. You will work closely with our manufacturers and our quality control, technical, marketing and sales teams in China, Australia, UK and Europe to ensure that we supply high-quality products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities & Duties: Responsible for the project management of new and existing product development projects, constantly striving to push projects through the development process within agreed deadlines Collate and cross reference new product information supplied by Quality Control and NPD China. Complete comparison sheets and make suggestions based on evaluation of data. Management of product samples, ordering, delivering, reviewing, cataloguing. Monitor and record all project activity through updating the main New Product Development databases and individual Project workbooks Present product updates to internal departments to agree pricing, order qtys, product launch plans. Communicate updates to Sales on availability of new products, respond to queries. Provide Technical details to Marketing for producing catalogues, brochure, promotionalmaterials. Co-operate and liaise with other departments to ensure sales of new products are supported by responding to enquiries within satisfactory time frames. Review catalogues to identify new product opportunities Some travel is required – visiting our customers in different markets, attending lighting industry trade shows and exhibitions, visiting our partner manufacturers in Asia. Systems used in development: SAP, SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft Planner. Key Requirements: Qualification in Engineering or Project Management Fully proficient in all Microsoft Office packages. Fluent English, spoken and written Task focused with a proactive and positive approach to problem-solving. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
