You must be computer literate and able to operate nutritional software and pricing/formulation models.You have experience in communicating, directing & coordinating with Management, Marketing and Production staff in relation to production operations, quality and food safety related issues.Our facility is located in Northern NSW in the Byron Bay area, close to beaches, nature, airports, Gold coast & Brisbane making it a wonderful destination for a tree change.JOB DESCRIPTION:New Product Development responsibilities:Develop new products according to NPD briefs, key relationships and business collaborations - Including sample production, nutritional panels, HSR, packaging and costings.Management and disposal of non-conforming product in conjunction with QA.Ensuring that all manufacturing equipment is calibrated and maintained in good working condition to minimize the opportunity for foreign matter contamination and production down time.Participate in post-production feedback on improving product & production protocols.Production related data control.Proactively identify trends in products and ingredients and incorporate these into proactive product concept development and improving current products.Work with production team to co-ordinate product improvements.From time to time be involved in production so as to be able to understand product handling, staff skill requirements and business outputs.Product manager responsibilities:Responsible for ensuring that the Production of the Products comply with the documented Food Safety Systems.Responsible for ensuring that all staff are trained and have the necessary competencies to carry out their job responsibilities.Foster an environment of innovation and improvement and recommend and action operational improvements.Product and raw material stock control.Contribute to setting, maintaining, and enforcing hygiene, sanitation and good manufacturing standards including foreign matter contamination prevention.Maintain and update approved supplier list and MSDS register.Involvement in HACCP review annually or following change.Client interface with QA including lab testing.Updating the food safety system as and when needed.Document and data control.Advise on food safety and food quality issues.Undertake food safety and food quality related risk assessments.Contribute to monthly training meetings and identify system gaps in training and competency.Remuneration:Full Time Base salary: $80,000 plus super.Plus Bonus: based on business performance and role performance.
